Installation Instructions

AccuSonic I & II
Installation Instructions
Sensor
Using dimensions from calibration software, cut PVC pipe to specified length, this will serve
as the wave guide
Glue the sonic reflector retainer to the end of the tube, using PVC cement
Insert sonic reflector in wave guide
Insert wave guide into the sensor housing and tighten the allen screws fastening the wave
guide to the sensor housing
Caution do not over-tighten these screws, this could distort the wave guide and prevent the
free travel of the sonic reflector within the guide
The sensor is now ready for installation in the appropriate tank

Water Tanks
Select a location which will allow the wave guide to terminate at the deepest point of the tank.

*Avoid termination in sump*
Avoid locations where the tank fill stream would hit the wave guide
At the selected location cut a 2.312” hole to accommodate a 2” NPT thread, if you are
using a flange to mount sensor you will require a 2.375 opening
Caution use a sensor with the W tank designation
Install sensor in tank
On threaded installations use Teflon thread tape on the male thread
On flange installations use supplied gasket
The control cable should be orientated towards the display module
Caution on threaded installations be sure the wrench used to tighten the connection is used
only on the octagon flange at the bottom of the housing

Foam Tanks
Follow installation instructions for water tank
Location of sensor should facilitate easy installation of the cable harness
Always install at the deepest part of the tank
Caution use sensor with the correct tank designation A or B

Master Display Module
Select the location where you want to mount the master display module
Using the supplied template cut out the opening for display unit
Drill 4 holes per template
Tap the holes using a 4-40 tap to receive supplied mounting screws
Connect the 12 volt red wire to the power supply
Connect the ground wire to truck’s ground terminal strip
Connect the cable from the sensor to the plug at the rear of the master display module
Remote Displays
Select location for the remote display and install, feeding the control cable to the master
display module, and connect to plug on rear of display
Repeat for all remote displays
Final Operation
Remove retaining tape from front of display which was used to hold bezel and lens during
shipping, and install master display module using the supplied screws
